This month's community discussion will take place Saturday, May 24 at 12:00pm noon, Eastern.
We will be discussing Plato's short dialogue, Euthyphro. In the span of just a few pages, Plato manages to touch on many of the most fundamental questions in ethics, theology, language, and metaphysics. We can see why Alfred North Whitehead famously remarked, "The safest general characterization of the European philosophical tradition is that it consists of a series of footnotes to Plato."
Our community nights are an opportunity to make friends with fellow Memoria college students and faculty in a more relaxed environment than a formal class. I look forward to seeing you there!
